Bio & Training

Liz Roseman is a nationally certified & North Carolina licensed acupuncturist, nationally certified Chinese herbologist, and a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine.  She graduated at the top of her class from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego with a Master's in Science.  During her schooling, she assisted Alex Tiberi, L.Ac., a pioneer of Chinese Medicine in the U.S. with over 20 years of experience.  Liz also interned for one year at San Diego's Pacific Beach Free Clinic, which offers complimentary acupuncture, dental, and medical treatments to the community's under-served population.  She has also treated college athletes with sports injuries and orthopedic problems at the University of California, San Diego.

In 2008, Liz completed an internship in herbal and acupuncture training at the Chengdu University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chengdu, China.  This experience enhanced Liz's knowledge and experience in both the foundations and the modern innovations of this ancient form of healing and was an invaluable part of her professional and personal growth.  Liz has supplemented her education with lectures on pulse diagnosis by Min Fan, L.Ac., and on classic Chinese texts by Bob Damone, L.Ac.  She is invested in continuing her education and she is currently studying Mandarin Chinese, with hopes of translating Chinese texts in the future.

Liz was hand-picked by Dr. Randine Lewis,L.Ac.. to be a part of The Fertile Soul  team.  Liz treats patients at Fertile Soul Retreats and also does phone consultations for The Fertile Soul.  Dr. Randine Lewis is the author of The Infertility Cure and The Way of the Fertile Soul, and has had uncommon success in helping couples diagnosed as "infertile" by the western medical system become pregnant and have healthy babies.  The Fertile Soul Method (TM) aims to help re-balance the mind, body, and soul.  It is based on Chinese Medical principles - that true healing comes from deep within, when we are aligned with our true selves and with nature.  The answer is not "out there" - it is within each one of us.

Liz is also a member of The Fertile Soul's CEFP (Clinical Excellence in Fertility Program).  This program includes bi-weekly conference calls on different topics relating to fertility (both western and eastern) and the opportunity to discuss complex cases with one another.  In this manner, we can offer our patients the best care possible.

Liz's areas of interest include: women's health (menstrual problems, menopause, infertility, pre- and post-natal support, etc.), pain (chronic & acute), stress & anxiety relief, and digestive disorders. Liz has a gluten allergy herself & is especially equipped to help support those with the same condition.  As an avid cook, she is also very happy to discuss and help you implement dietary recommendations.

In her spare time, Liz enjoys cooking, walking & hiking, spending time with her friends, family, & dogs, reading, yoga, taking photos, watching movies, and lots of laughing.
